Elf Jr, The Auditions

Do you have a child who is bursting with talent? We have the perfect opportunity for him or her! The Spark Spot Arts Education Center is casting for our Winter Musical Production of , "Elf, Jr". We are looking for 30+ actors, male or female, ages 5-18 to play various roles in this hillarious fish-out-of-water comedy that follows Buddy the Elf  in his quest to find his true identity. 

Auditions will consist of group and individual games, songs, and more. Kids will not need to prepare anything. They can, if they choose, put together a 1-minute act showing us what makes them shine. 

Those cast in the play will be asked to commit to 10 Saturday classes in October (starting October 8th), November, and December, in between the hours of 1PM-4PM depending on part (an average of 2 hours a week), and pay for 1 performance fee of $300 (which includes all classes, a performance t-shirt, costume rentals, theater venue fees, and 2 tickets to the event). This fee can be divided into 3 payments (on Oct 8, Nov 1, and Dec 1). This opportunity also allows you student to participate in our additional Spark Starter theatre technique classes while in preparation for the show, held on Mondays 6-6:45 PM.  

Performance  for this production will be on Saturday, December 17th at 1PM with dress rehearsal on Friday, December 16th from 5-8:30 PM. Performance location is tentatively set for iWerx Pavillion in North Kansas City.
